I've been off the net for eleven days (which I think is my longest absence since our UK holiday in June-July 2000), and have seen very little news due to three children aged between three years and nine months commandeering the mother-in-law's television for the purpose of Wiggles, Play School and Hairy McLairy DVDs. Lots of spam email to delete, lots of spam comments to delete from this website all sent by one particular moron (you know who you are), and a lot of unhappy events around the world to digest. The appalling election result in the US, the disturbing warfare in Fallujah, and the deaths of two Australian sporting icons, Johnny Warren and Eddie Charlton.

I'll have plenty to write about (as well as a few pertinent holiday observations) as I catch up on things.
