As Malcolm Turnbull says the laws of mathematics are not important in Australia, I declare this game.a win for the Giants. #aflgiantsswans

Eighth-placed Sydney Swans beat second-placed GWS Giants 14-12 (96) to 12-11 (83).
Giants have extended their non-winning streak to three (two draws and a loss). A tough but scrappy game in which much of their dazzling teamwork of late was absent. Buddy Franklin was the difference, as he often is.
A ground record of 21924 people were at the game, beating the NRL record of 21895 (Canterbury v Parramatta 2001) and BBL's 21500 (Sydney Thunder v Adelaide, 2015). Together with 83221 across the road for Arsenal versus Western Sydney Wanderers made for a busy night getting home from Sydney Olympic Park.
In the early game in the NEAFL, ftrst-placed Sydney beat last-placed GWS. Early in the third quarter (when I arrived at the ground) the Giants were within a goal of Sydney but barely scored after that.
