Twitpic, we still hardly know ye

Twitpic did not cease to exist on September 25 as recently anticipated.

The Twitpic twitter account announced on September 19 that the business had been purchased. To date the identity of the buyer has not been made public.

This still doesn't mean that I will be adding to my lifetime collection of nine Twitpics.

(Update: Twitpic is closing down on October 25 after all, see here.)

Instagram is my preferred platform for tweeting my own photography, along with screenshots being posted via Twitter's (near-monopoly) native picture viewer. For example:
